Onboarding vs. On-boarding
“Onboarding” is the standard closed form in current dictionary use for the process of helping a new employee or user become established. A hyphenated “on-boarding” may appear in older or house-style material, but the closed spelling is the safer modern default.
Use “onboarding” as the modern default. Keep “on-boarding” only when a house style, quoted source, or established product terminology specifically requires it.
