Trial Sponsor Identification and Contact Section
SPIRIT 2025 asks protocols to identify the trial sponsor with name and contact information and, when applicable, a regulatory agency identifying number. Sponsor identification is not the same as describing the sponsor’s role or the funding source; those disclosures should remain distinct even when the same organization appears in more than one place.
A Trial Sponsor Identification and Contact section names the sponsoring individual or organization and supplies the contact and identifying information required to make sponsorship transparent.
