Funding Statement
ICMJE asks manuscripts to identify sources of support that facilitated the reported work and warns against listing funding that did not contribute. A funding statement therefore reports relevant support without implying a universal journal format.
A funding statement identifies support that facilitated the work and, where required, the sponsor’s role. Follow the journal’s placement and disclosure instructions and do not list unrelated funding.
