An author note is an APA professional-paper element for author identifiers, affiliation changes, disclosures/acknowledgments and contact information when applicable. Purdue OWL distinguishes this from the normal APA student-paper title page.
In APA 7, an author note belongs on a professional paper when applicable and can contain ORCID information, affiliation changes, disclosures/acknowledgments and correspondence details; student papers normally omit it.
