Appendix Labels
Appendix labels organize supplementary material outside the main body. Purdue’s APA guidance uses lettered labels for multiple appendices and carries the appendix letter into labels for figures and tables within an appendix.
Use the appendix-label system required by your style guide. A common system uses “Appendix” for a single appendix and letters such as “Appendix A” and “Appendix B” for multiple appendices.

Contained Items
When appendices contain figures or tables, their labels can incorporate the appendix letter, such as Figure A1 or Table B1, according to the governing style.
Single Multiple
Under the cited APA-style guidance, a single appendix is labeled Appendix, while multiple appendices use capital letters such as Appendix A and Appendix B.

Sources are shown with the role they play in this guide. Historical or style-sensitive claims are kept within the evidence boundary described above.
